(Roseau, Dominica – May 7, 2014). Through partnership with Alliance Française de la Dominique, Discover Dominica Authority added another artist to the already exciting Jazz 'n Creole 2014 line up. On Wednesday morning Mr. Stanislas Riener, director at Alliance Française de la Dominique announced that the Jacques Schwarz-Bart Voodoo Trio is the latest addition to the Sunday June 8th line up.

Jacques Schwarz-Bart, dubbed Brother Jacques, is an internationally acclaimed jazz saxophonist of Guadeloupian heritage now based in New York, who has a rich background performing alongside such names as Roy Hargrove, Danilo Perez, Ari Hoenig, Meshell n'Degeocello, D'Angelo, Erykah Badu, and Eric Benet. More recently, Jacques, whose fertile brain seems to never rest, has launched new projects, ranging from straight jazz to Caribbean roots music. He has created a project that synergizes modern jazz and ritual voodoo music from Haiti. The Jazz Racine Haiti project was released by Motema Music in January 2014, and while remaining a jazz project, the music is lifted by the powerful spirituality of voodoo music. Band members and audience seem to be sailing together on a sea of light. The trio, which takes the stage at Fort Shirley, will feature vocals by Moonlight Benjamin and Claude Saturne on the voodoo drums.
