WARNER PARK, St Kitts - St Kitts offered very little resistance as the English bowlers ran them over for just 59 in 26.3 overs.

It was a virtual walk in the Warner Park in St. Kitts as the touring English cricket team began their Three-test Tour with a two-day tour match against a St. Kitts invitational team.

Winning the toss the St. Kitts side opted to bat first but offered next to no resistance. Ben Stokes was the pick of the bowlers as he took three for 10.

Five of the Kittitian batsmen returned to the pavilion without troubling the scorers. Top scorer for St Kitts was number seven batsman Jaison Peters; two other batsmen reached double figures (Shane Jeffers-11 and Sherwin Peters-10)

In reply England were 181 for one at the close of play, with Captain Alastair Cook on 95 (189 balls) not out and Gary Balance 9 not out; Jonathan Trott was out for 72 (148 balls).
