Gizelle Pierre-Toussaint donates to north east schools

Gizelle Pierre-Toussaint, through her LIBRA Foundation, has donated books and stationery supplies to schools in the north eastern district.

Pierre-Toussaint says her commitment is to assist the needy, less fortunate and elderly. LIBRA Foundation has already undertaken a variety of projects in various parts of the island, including the refurbishing of a classroom "to encourage enjoyment of the learning environment for students of the Petite Soufriere Pre-school".

Speaking at the presentation last week, a recipient of the donation from the Sinecou Primary School said that "this is an example of what young people can do."

Other recipients included the Morne Riviere Pre-School.

"Sometimes we forget the little people," the recipient from Morne Riviere Pre-school said.
