Scotiabank Donation to the Private Sector Foundation for Health

Scotiabank Dominica has donated Ec$10,000 to the Private Sector Foundation for Health (PSFH).

"Giving back to the communities we're based in is something that is a very important part of the Scotiabank culture' an official of the bank said at the handover ceremony last week. " It is a great pleasure to renew our association with the Private Sector Foundation for Health by making this donation".

She added: "This Foundation does excellent and important work with its invaluable medical expertise, and we're happy to contribute as they use that knowledge to determine the best and most productive areas to target in improving health care. Scotiabank Dominica is also approaching its 25th anniversary so this is really fitting and in line with our long standing tradition of giving".

Established in 2005, PSFH is a non-profit organization approved by the Government of Dominica and incorporated under the 1994 Companies Act. According to organization's website: "the PSFH has experience designing and implementing health partnerships across the island, and in providing health care opportunities through financial aid to individuals or grants to state hospitals and health centers. PSFH currently manages more than EC$1 million in contracts, and is funded by a variety of private donors and commercial entities.
