Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has established an Indo-Dominica Chamber of Commerce, the Statesman of India has reported

The aim of this body, according to the report, is to facilitate trade, commerce, tourism and industrial relations between the countries.

"The Chamber will also aim to advance education and skill development programmes, and to promote Dominica's Citizenship by Investment Programme," the report added.

Prime Minister Skerrit was on a private visit to New Delhi and attended a private dinner held in his honour organized by legal consultancy firm CS Global Partners, New Statesman.com reported

"The dinner at the Taj Mahal Hotel was hosted by Micha-Rose Emmett, managing director of the legal firm. The event was attended by who's who of Delhi, including Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Vijay Sampla and his wife," the report said.

Skerrit also spoke about the investment opportunities in Dominica.

Prime Minister Skerrit is currently visiting Asia. In India he addressed the Commencement Ceremony of Lovely Professional University. He was also given an honorary degree.

From India, Skerrit was expected to travel to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, where he was scheduled to meet with current and future investors, a release from the Government of Dominica said
