Every culture in the world has its own set of norms and values which they hold sacrosanct for the smooth operation and continuity of the society. In a world too long gone, all cultures universally hold homosexually as an observation, an anomaly; something completely contrary to the laws of nature. This is especially so in African context where homosexuality was not a negroid tradition or practice. Enter colonization and the spread and acceptance of the Judeo-Christian revealed word of God to his chosen nation of Israel firstly, and believing gentiles secondly. The creation account and the Fall in the Garden of Eden led to man's descent for mankind, and necessitated the provision of Laws and

commands for acceptable and pleasing living. Rebellion against the Creator's Law is called sin, and resulted in the judgment and punishment from the Almighty. As a Christian nation, we supposedly uphold the Judeo-Christian Bible as God's literal word.

In a November 11 2016 publication of the Chronicle, in his weekly column, Parry Bellot attempts to go against the grain by stating that "the Bible is SEEMINGLY against the practice, (homosexuality), "and continues to mention that "as some parts are interpreted."

Which scripture is Parry Bellot referencing? We are left clueless as to which scripture Mr. Bellot is referring to that appear seemingly against homosexuality! Well, in the interest of general knowledge of the average Joe on the street, allow me to quote this same Bible so that the people can "interpret" the words of the Most High for themselves. "DO not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is an abomination," Leviticus 18: verse 22. That my dear friends, is God's stance on homosexuality. Furthermore, in the New

Testament in 1 Corinthians 6: verse 9, it says "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor –the idolater nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the Kingdom of God." I fail to see how these two passages of scripture can be interpreted differently from what they so clearly proclaim.

Mr. Bellot claims there are no Laws in our legal systems against adultery. This is true; but you see Mr. Bellot, adultery is still involving an act that is not against nature itself.

A further reference if we return to Leviticus 18: verse 23 "Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is perversion." There are Laws against bestiality Mr. Bellot. Are you implying that we should legalize homosexuality and bestiality? Why surely, another disease alike unto AIDS will arise for people having sexual relations with animals. Should we legalize bestiality to allow people interfering with animals to go tested? Surely your logic is flawed.

We live in an age where people who are under evil influence, ignorant of truth, participate in both homosexuality and bestiality, and post videos of these acts online. Surely you should encourage godly living instead of carnal lust and reckless living to our already vulnerable, misguided youth.

"The wicked freely strut about when what is vile is honoured amongst men." – Psalm 12:8.
