World Creole Music Festival continues

As the second night of the three-night Word Creole Music Festival (WCMF) warms up tonight organisers say night one was a resounding success.

"We had the biggest Friday night ever," Kelly- Anne Williams, the Acting Festivals and Events Coordinator told Curtis Matthew of DBS news today.

Up to 7am this morning, as the sun awoke over the green mountains of the Roseau Valley, lovers of creole music were jumping and jiving to the Bouyon music of Triple Kay; afterwards many invaded the Roseau Market in search of black pudding, souse and "bakes-an'- salfish".

Tonight, night two of the event named "Three Nights of Pulsating Rhythms" will feature Lady of Song Ophelia, Jamaican band Morgan Heritage and Haitian international star Wyclef Jean.

Jean told DBS that he hopes the Caribbean continues to support Haiti in its time of need following the devastation of mega-hurricane Matthew a few weeks ago.

"Haiti's suffering is a historical one, you know" Jean said. "It is called the first black republic."

Tonight event will also feature Extasy; Dede St. Pris; Kes The Band; Mr. Killa and WCK.

On Sunday, October 30th there will be Breve; T-Mickey; Gentleman; Michele Henderson; Asa Banton and Akon.
