Jays Bookstore made the spirit of Christmas real to five charity organisations when proprietor John Lewis presented gifts to them this week.

Grotto Home, Crime Stoppers and the Dominica Infirmary each received $2,500.

He said the three organizations do a wonderful job in caring for people and in helping to prevent crime in Dominica.

Representative from the Dominica Infirmary Clannis Jno Baptiste said thanks for the donation noting that it is not the first time that Jays had given to the Infirmary.

"I want to encourage those out there who have businesses to follow Jays footsteps to continue contributing to the elderly at Dominica Infirmary."

Meanwhile, Grotto Home manager Lucia Blaize Jones said: "You say it's little but I can tell you, for me it is very big."
