North East Comprehensive School (NECS) took first innings points in a game of fluctuating fortunes with St Mary's Academy (SMA) to capture their second successive Secondary Schools Under-15 cricket championship at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium on Monday May 21, 2013.

Round 1: NECS won the toss and chose to bat in the final which began about half an hour late because of a wet pitch surface.

Round 2: SMA had the defending champions reeling at six wickets down for 28 runs. Round 3: Derry Auguiste with 40 runs and the more patient Rodham Burton 21* put on 50 runs for the seventh wicket. NECS all out for 98 in 42 overs. Terrel Toussaint took two for 27, Daneal Dupigny 2-27, Peter Malhstedt 2-6, Brice Jno Lewis 2-9 and Tahj Tavernier 2-11.

Round 4: SMA's innings was soon in tatters at six for 12 with Derry Auguiste 4-20 from 9 overs and Alickson Prosper 2-11 before Terrel Toussaint began to play a lone hand. Toussaint attacked the NECS bowlers and exquisitely farmed the bowling before he played over a pitched-up delivery in the second over of right arm spinner Kerwin Dupigny for 28 with SMA on 39-7. NECS' captain, Kerwin Burton wrapped up the innings in his third over by clean bowling SMA's last three batsmen for a hat-trick. He had figures of four for 14 from 3 overs. SMA bowled out for 48 in 17 overs.

NECS, with the championship in hand and 15 overs in the last hour of play remaining, declared their second innings at 51-4 with Alickson Prosper getting 17. Jno Lewis took 2-19 and Tavernier 2-13. SMA were on 25-4 of 4.5 overs when the match was called off. A Prosper had 2-20 and Keyon Burton 1-5. Final scores: NECS 98 and 51-4; SMA 48 and 25-4.
