Randy Aaron, the brother of prominent Calypso composer, Pat, is to be laid to rest at the Roseau Cathedral cemetery today, Wednesday, January 22nd 2020.

Randy, 70, died at his home in Morne Prosper on 12 th January 2020.

In the Calypso arena, Randy was best known for designing and managing props for Dennison "Dice " Joseph, they calypsonian who has won the Dominica Calypso crown nine times. Pat Aaron continues to be Dice's main writer.

In farming, Randy was also "an all-rounder" says Pat.

With the late Patrick Delaunay, Witnel Louis and Felton Telemacque, Randy for many years hosted the popular radio programme "Farmers Cry" on Q95fm.

"Randy was my friend, we became very good friends indeed," Louis said on a radio show today hosted by Matt Peltier. "Randy had a good, good vision and knowledge about agriculture".

Randy Aaron was born on High Street, Roseau in 1949.

He leaves to mourn four siblings (three sisters and one brother) and nine children

Mas Camp, the local Calypso Tent has dedicated the 2020 season in memory of Randy Aaron.
