Castle Bruce Primary School gets a library make-over

Studies have shown that vibrant, well-run school libraries can have a profound impact on student literacy and encouraging a life long joy of reading.

Thanks to the benevolent efforts of volunteers and sponsors, the Castle Bruce Primary School library recently benefited from a make-over and was officially re-opened on February 6th 2015.

The newly-painted walls and shelves, attractive mural, furniture and cosy reading corner, are a welcome boost towards the school's literacy goals and the effective use and sustainability of the library. The students are excited about the colourful and comfortable new environment and having the library open again. They will also be able to check-out books to read at home.

At the opening, Principal Jovin Joseph thanked all those involved for their generosity, and said "the renovation of the library will no doubt raise the standard of reading at the school". He also hopes other school libraries can benefit from this valuable assistance from sponsors and supporters.
