The general public is being encouraged to support the dance production and be a part of a beautiful and creative expression of Dominica's arts and culture.
During its 45 years of existence, the Waitukubuli Dance Theatre Company has been able to provide countless opportunities for hundreds of young persons in Dominica to develop their skills in creative dance, some of whom have gone on to form their own dance groups and conduct their own dance training programmes. We have organized the annual Miss Teen Dominica Pageant for 39 years and we have also organized Carnival bands, Galaxy of Stars productions, Miss Dominica Fashion Model competitions and dance drama productions which include "Papa Toussaint – the Slave Who Freed Haiti", "Kabouki", "The Resurrection" and the "The Power and the Glory".
In addition, through the years the Dance Company has provided entertainment at every major festival in Dominica including the World Creole Music Festival, Independence Celebrations, Carnival, DOMFESTA and Emancipation Celebrations. The Company has also toured and staged performances in several Caribbean islands, promoting Dominica and Dominica's culture everywhere it has performed.
