Falcons win Division One League

Fashion Line Falcons of Pichelin have secured the second basketball award for the 2013 Lime National Basketball League of the Dominica Amateur Basketball Association, and their second regular season title in successive years.

RC Doctors of the Roseau Valley won the opening ballorama competition which marked the opening of the season at Lindo Park in Goodwill in April.

Falcons captured the Pizza Hut Delivery Division I championship with six wins in as many matches.

The standings for that division as at July 1, 2013 had Falcons well ahead of their field with 2013 champions EH Charles Crossover next followed by Goodwill Starz, Shanks Juggernauts, St Joseph Hurricanes, Kairi Ole Skool, Paix Bouche Snipers and Massacre Black Hawks.

In recent matches, Falcons thrashed Juggernauts 94-65, and whipped Crossover 80-69. Ole Skool 56-Snipers 51; Snipers 60-Juggernauts 46; Starz 73-Juggernauts 51 and Hurricanes 55-Black Hawks 48.
