Major vehicular accident, one cruise passenger dead
One female passenger of the Cruise ship Azura has died at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) following a vehicular collision on the Dr. Nicholas Liverpool highway near Antrim this afternoon at about 2.00 pm.
The passenger's name and nationality has not been released; the police and the Ministry of Tourism has not yet issued a statement on the accident.
Four other cruise passengers were admitted to the PMH; they will not board the ship scheduled to leave the Woodbridge Bay port to St. Georges, Grenada this evening.
Reports indicate that a bus (registration # HF141), driven by Jeffrey Gregoire with ten passengers and one tour guide on board, was returning to the ship when the bus collided with a car (TL040) travelling in the opposite direction.
