The price of petrol dropped again this week, making prices in January 2016 the lowest in 12 months.

From 4th January Dominican drivers have to pay $9.85 per gallon i.e. 60 cents less than last December when the cost of a gallon of petrol was $10.18.

But the price per gallon of diesel increased by 79 cents per gallon from $7.93 to $8.72.

However, Kerosene prices dropped $1.67 per gallon (from $9.20 to $7.53 per gallon).

The prices of petroleum products have been rising and falling in Dominica throughout last year but prices did not dip below 10 dollars per gallon; December prices were the lowest for the year.

The average price of petrol in 2015 was $12.84.
