Royer wins Courts Fashionista Show

Bernadette Royer designed a stunning wedding dress that won her the Courts Third Annual Fashionista Show last Friday evening.

Held among the furniture on the second floor of the Courts store on Old Street, the show attracted about 100 excitable women and children and a few men. There was one male among the seven models who showcased the creation of seven designers.

The criteria for the judging of the one-round competition included: creativity, resourcefulness, presentation, originality, similarity between the finished product and the sketch, craftsmanship, crowd response and biggest pose.

The other winners were: Avera Prince (2nd with 230 points) and Olivia Charles (3rd with 220 points). Royer won with 272 points. She took home the grand prize of EC$2,500.
