Dominica's dominant cricket team of the third millennium needed just the one day to win their first match in the new season of the Dominica Cricket Association Augustus Gregoire Premier Cricket League at the Botanical Gardens.

The eight-time champions thrashed Grand Bay Credit Union Colts by an innings and 111 runs on the first of the two-day match. The in-form Windward Islands batsman Tyron Theophile plundered an unbeaten 133 runs in the pre-lunch session to help Tremors to an imposing 274 for four at the lunch break. Adding to the misery of Colts were Rick James with an unbeaten 67 and Kirsten Casimir 41. The successful bowlers for Colts were Lex Magloire and Alvinson Jolly with two wickets apiece for 64 and 53 runs respectively. Colts batted after lunch and succumbed for 83 to slow bowling led by national spinner Vivian Titre five for 21 with Kirsten Casimir chipping in with 2-2. Colts asked to follow on crumbled for 80. For Tremors, Titre added 2-19, Casimir 2-22 with Jaime Jno Baptiste leading the collapse with 4-8. The best batsmen for Colts were L Magloire 38 (1st innings) and Asa Athanaze 20 second time around.
