Vielle Case wins Mother's Queen Pageant
Frances Lockhart, 28, of Vielle Case has captured the crown of the 2015 Mother's Queen Show on February 7, 2015 at the Arawak House of Culture.
"I am feeling so proud of myself right now. My plans right now for 2015 is going to start off; as my talent said I am a mother who suffers from Sickle Cell so my plans is to inform Dominicans about Sickle Cell and about how to relate to someone with Sickle Cell and how it is not a disease that is contagious but it is genetic so I would educate the Dominican public more about my sickness," said Lockhart.
She added: "The only challenge that I faced actually is my sickness I have been getting sick now and then during the preparation for the show but is hasn't keep me back."
The petite mother of a 3-year old girl out-perform the six other contestants capturing three awards: Best Evening Wear, Best in Evening Wear and Miss Intelligence.
The First Runner Up award went to Taneka Albert, 21, of Laudat; she captured two awards: Best Ole Masquerade Wear and Best in Ole Masquerade Wear.
Ellouise Etienne representing the Kalinago Territory and Stock Farm emerged Second Runner Up capturing three awards: Miss Amity, Best Swim Wear and Best in Swim
Third Runner Up went to the crowd-pleaser Annadale Jacob of St Joseph who captured the award for Best Talent.
Kendra Stephen of Newtown was Miss Photogenic.
