West Indies were beaten again. This time Australia defeated the Caribbean team by 177 runs in the second Test at the MCG on Tuesday.

Though Captain Jason Holder and Denesh Ramdin scored half centuries, the Aussies went on to secure the series two-nil and retain the Frank Worrell Trophy. There's one more Test Match left to be played in the series.

The West Indies batted marginally better than they did in the first innings scoring 282 (11 runs more) in their second innings after Steven Smith's overnight declaration on 179 for three.

Ramdin and Holder added 100 runs for the sixth wicket but the 460 target was too much for the young and inexperienced team.

Mitchell Marsh took four for 61, Lyon three for 85 and James Pattinson two for 49 as the Aussies reduced the Windies to five for 150 shortly after tea.

West Indies lost their final four wickets for 32 runs in ten overs.
