Christmas is just a few days away and the Sun asked persons on the streets of Roseau whether they feel the Christmas spirit. Here's what they said:

Junior

I am not feeling anything; it's just not there at all. Christmas in just not the same as years gone by anymore. Before the spirit use to be there, lots of lights, shopping very early...but it's no more. I don't know if Santa Claus has taken it away with him but it is dread and dead.

Ann Maxine

Christmas this year is kind of dead and has dropped as compared to other years. Before it used to be so alive with the vendors. But now no vendors yet on the side of the road and we are already into the third week. There is no Christmas; it's just dread and dead.

Karan Pascal

Christmas died years ago because I lost my grandparents at that time a few years ago. They are the ones who used to bring me the joy at Christmas now this is just gone. I don't even feel the spirit of Christmas where is the celebrations? There is no cake. I do some shopping yes, but no celebrations, I feel the void.

Brian Shillingford

Christmas is a nice time, I love it very much. Lots to eat and drink and family coming together to share. I love that, I love that vibes but presently I just don't feel Christmas.

Pastor Randy Rodney

I always feel Christmas because I understand the reasons for it. Now, whether the economy is booming or not, I have the Saviour, so as a result it means the same thing for me. When other people get to know the Christ of Christmas, then nothing external matters.
