Caribbean singers are world class. They proved that again last night when two Caribbean stars glittered at the 56th Grammy Awards ceremony last night in Los Angeles.

Ziggy Marley of Jamaica won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album for his live "Ziggy Marley in Concert" and Rihanna of Barbados Rihanna won her eighth Grammy award as she copped Best Urban Contemporary Album for her seventh studio album "Unapologetic".

Rihanna won over Tamar Braxton's album "Love and War", Fantasia's "Side Effects of You", Salaam Remi's "One in the Chamber", and Mack Wild's "New York: A Love Story".

Ziggy, Bob Marley's oldest son, won Best Reggae Album for his 14-track album, recorded on his 2012 world tour; he won the award over Sly & Robbie and the Jam Masters' Reggae Connection; Sizzla's The Messiah; One Love, One Life by Beres Hammond and Snoop Lion's Reincarnated.
